Cavernoma

Discussion:

Cavernomas also known as cerebral cavernous venous malformations are the commonest type of intracranial vascular malformations. They are angiographically occult. No feeding artery or draining veins. They show characteristic popcorn appearance with peripheral rim of hypointense signals and internal areas of blooming. Most of them are treated conservatively.

Differentials are hemorrhagic metastases or primary hemorrhagic brain tumors.
