How would you describe the medial meniscal tear?
Complete radial/transection of the central aspect of the middle third.
Complete radial tear of the central aspect of the middle third of the medial meniscus. The central third of the medial meniscus is extruded and causes some bowing of the MCL.The extrusion indicates a loss of hoop stress. Areas of partial thickness articular surface loss in the adjacent medial compartment.
The cruciates are intact. Normal lateral compartment.
Areas of partial and full thickness articular cartilage loss in the patellofemoral joint, most severe in the lateral trochlea of the patella.
