Olfactory neuroepithelioma (9523/3) is a rare tumor which mimics olfactory neuroblastomas (9500/3) in presentation and imaging features and is often used synonymously with the latter 1-2.
Pathology
Olfactory neuroepitheliomas differ from olfactory neuroblastomas in a number of ways 1:
- neural processes and glandular differentiation
- rarely secrete catecholamines
- express cytokeratin
- express Ber-EP4
