Convulsions
Patient Data
There is a well-defined oval lesion on the left side of the quadrigeminal cistern, and to the superior cerebellar cistern, abutting left superior cerebellar peduncle, contain oval shape dense calcification and fatty consistency component.
There is a small well defined infratentorial oval lesion in the left quadrigeminal cistern (perimesencephalic cistern), just above the left superior cerebellar peduncle. It appears markedly hyperintense T1W and slightly hypointense in T2W images, denoting fatty consistency, with hypointense component in both T1W and T2W images denoting calcification. It shows no contrast enhancement, no restricted diffusion in DW images
Case Discussion
Fatty lesion in quadrigeminal (perimesencephalic cistern) with calcification is suggestive of quadrigeminal cistern dermoid cyst.
