Variant origin of left vertebral artery as the third branch off the aortic arch. 

Case Discussion

Origin of the left vertebral artery is classically from the left subclavian artery. However, ~5% of left vertebral arteries will have a variable origin with the most common being as a branch of the aortic arch 1
