Minor widening of the C1/2 joints is noted bilaterally. No vertebral artery injury was detected on CTA (not shown).
Case Discussion
Widening such as this should be viewed with suspicion and careful neurological examination and MRI carried out. Follow-up for this patient is lost to the vagaries of history.
