Presentation
Locked left knee after a long flight. No trauma history.
Patient Data

infrapatellar soft tissue edema with no bone fractures.
mild degenerative changes with medial joint space narrowing and subchondral sclerosis

there is a displaced vertical meniscal tear with truncation and a small size of the body and the posterior horn of the medial meniscus
migration of the displaced fragment in the intercondylar notch (best seen in coronal sequences)
double posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) sign (seen in the sagittal sequences)
bone bruise on the posterior tibial plateaux
intra-articular free fluid
Case Discussion
The patient had a knee arthroscopy that confirmed the diagnosis of a bucket handle meniscal tear of the posterior and body of the medial meniscus. A partial medial meniscectomy was then performed. The patient fully recovered after two months.
