Presentation

Neck pain post trauma.

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Male
ct

No acute cervical spine fracture or malalignment demonstrated. Incidental note of an intercalary bone at the anterosuperior aspect of C5. Prevertebral and paravertebral soft tissues are within normal limits.

Case Discussion

Cervical intercalary bones and limbus vertebrae have a similar appearance, but should not be confused for a cervical spine fracture.
