There is a 10 cm length of sigmoid colon with a thickened wall and multiple diverticulaediverticula with extensive surrounding peri-mesenteric fat stranding.

No free intra-abdominal air or intra-abdominal collections.

Scattered uncomplicated small diverticulaediverticula in the descending colon.

Incidental left intertrochanteric femoral simple bone cyst approximately 12 mm in diameter.

Conclusion:

Localised sigmoid colonic diverticulitis with associated microperforation (free gas within the sigmoid mesentery). No pericolonic collection.
