There is a 10 cm length of sigmoid colon with a thickened wall and multiple diverticulaediverticula with extensive surrounding peri-mesenteric fat stranding.
No free intra-abdominal air or intra-abdominal collections.
Scattered uncomplicated small diverticulaediverticula in the descending colon.
The bladder is normal.No No para-aortic adenopathy.The The liver, pancreas and spleen are normal.The The kidneys enhance homogenously.Atherosclerotic Atherosclerotic disease of the abdominal aorta. Mild degenerative change at the thoraco lumbarthoracolumbar junction.
Incidental left intertrochanteric femoral simple bone cyst approximately 12 mm in diameter.
Conclusion:
Localised sigmoid colonic diverticulitis with associated microperforation (free gas within the sigmoid mesentery). No pericolonic collection.
