Non-contrast axial CT sections of the brain shows sulcal effacement as well as high density in the tentorium bilaterally and the falx. There is diffuse abnormal low density of the supratentorial brain parenchyma with loss of grey-white differentiation and effacement of the basal cisterns. The appearances are in keeping with of pseudosubarachnoid hemorrhage sign.
