Distal biceps brachii tendinosis

Presentation

An athlete with pain at the elbow region, tender supination, and flexion of the arm and elbow.

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Male

MRI study shows thickening of the distal biceps tendon at its insertion into the radial tuberosity with internal signal alteration eliciting intermediate signal in T2 and STIR. Mild surrounding fluid signal is also noted.
