Wrist pain.

Patient Data

Age: 65
Gender: Male

Early changes of SLAC wrist - widening of the scapholunate interval, and degenerative change at the radiocarpal articulation. Confirmed on MRI (not shown). 

Scaphoidectomy. Fusion of the lateral carpus. Lucency in the distal radius related to bone graft donor site. 

Case Discussion

One of the treatments for SLAC and SNAC wrists is scaphoidectomy and fusion of the lateral carpus with a circular plate with autologous bone graft from the distal radius (often from Lister's tubercle).
