Widely patent nasal cavities showing gross tissue loss & evidence of radical turbinate reductive surgey with only vestiges of turbinates have been preserved.
Bilateral partial ethmoidectomy.
Case Discussion
Empty nose syndrome is a complication caused by aggressive turbinate reductive surgery.
The patient usually complains of sensation of nasal obstruction, shortness of breath and nasal dryness.
