The hallmark of epididymitis is enlarged hypervascular left epididymis.

The inflammatory process causes increased blood flow within the left epididymis.

Duplex analysis of the epididymal waveform shows a low-resistance pattern as compared with the normal pattern.

Case Discussion

Epididymitis is the most common inflammatory process affecting the scrotum in adults. No change in the adjacent testicular parenchyma to diagnose epididymo-orchitis.

The epididymal head is the most common involved part. An associated reactive hydrocele and wall thickening are present.
