Note is made of hypodensity in all basal ganglia, frontal and left occipital region. Loss of gray-white matter differentiation with extensive global brain edema causing a loss of gyri and completely effacing the left lateral ventricle. In the orbital region, in relation to the sphenoid sinus and optic nerve, an already diagnosed, mucormycosis is observed
Case Discussion
This case shows a hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy. Patient died hours afterwards.
