The lunate bone is collapsed and displays diffuse low signal intensity in all sequences.

Degenerative cystic changes also are seen at the lunate bone.

Mild wrist joint effusion is noted.

No scapholunate dissociation.

There is intact triangular fibrocartilage.

Unremarkable flexor and extensor tendons.
