The lunate is flattened, deformed and sclerotic, accompanied by radiocarpal degenerative changes as joint space narrowing and subchondral sclerosis.
Negative ulnar variance is also present.
Case Discussion
Findings are compatible with Kienböck disease, a type of osteonecrosis involving the lunate, and there is a significant association between negative ulnar variance and Kienbock disease.
