Longitudinal temporal bone fracture

84 years old female with a history of acute head trauma (fall from her own height). Presents with bleeding from the right ear and confusion.

Fracture through the temporal bone

Case Discussion

CT shows propagation of the fracture line through the mastoid and anterior wall of external auditory canal. Brain study is important to detect injuries as the subdural haemorrage as seen in this case.
