Presentation
Lump in right thigh since birth. Complaint of redness and swelling.
Patient Data

Ill-defined heterogeneous multilocular subcutaneous cystic lesion at the lateral aspect of right thigh returning iso- to low signal on T1WI, high signal on T2WI and STIR, and showing heterogeneous enhancement. The lesion is associated with mild inflammatory changes and mildly thickened skin and compresses the vastus lateralis muscle but does not infiltrate it. No evidence of flow voids within the lesion.
Case Discussion
Differential diagnosis for lymphatic malformation includes haemangioma or other venous malformation. Haemangioma enhances more diffusely and venous malformation shows internal flow voids and enhancement.
