Info

There is a large cystic lesion with mural nodule, few internal septations, fluid and fat pocket and calcification noted arising from the right ovary, as the right ovary can not be visualized separately from the lesion. Imaging features are suggestive of mature cystic teratoma of ovary.
Case Discussion
Mature cystic teratoma or commonly known as dermoid cyst is a common benign ovarian tumor. It arises from all three germinal layers and that is why it displays a variety of tissues (i.e. hair, tooth, thyroid tissue, cartilage, often pockets of sebum) within it.
