Info

A large intra-abdominal homogeneous fat attenuation lesion is seen in the right upper quadrant, below the liver and displacing bowel loops downwards. It extends to the peripancreatic region, displacing the head of pancreas and stomach anteriorly and completely surrounding the upper part of the superior mesenteric vein.

Calcified subserous fibroids are seen.

Case Discussion

A large intra-abdominal fat density lesion with local mass effect, suggestive of mesenteric lipoma.

Mesenteric lipomas are rare slow-growing benign abdominal masses that displace and do not infiltrate the surrounding organs. They tend to be large at presentation.
