Patient Data

Age: 60 years
Gender: Male

Typical kidneys, with enlarged dimensions on the left, showing multiple cortical cysts bilaterally, the largest of them from the lower third of the left kidney, measuring 75 x 65 mm. There are no signs of hydronephrosis.

Case Discussion

Simple renal cysts are classified as Bosniak category I, which are quite common in the general population, increasing their incidence according to the patient's age.
