Multiple CSF-density non-enhancing cystic lesions located in the parenchyma and inside the fourth ventricle, with hyperintense scolices (cyst with dot sign), consistent with the vesicular stage of neurocysticercosis.
Case Discussion
Neurocysticercosis is the most common infection of the CNS. Seizures are the most common presentation. It has four types of presentation: parenchymal, subarachnoidal, intraventricular and mixed. The evolution of the infection has four stages: vesicular, colloid vesicular, granular nodular, and nodular calcified.
