Presentation

Chronic difficulty emptying bladder. Prior spinal trauma.

Patient Data

Age: 45 years
Gender: Male
Fluoroscopy

Vertical urinary bladder with wall hypertrophy which causes an irregular outline. There is also left sided vesicoureteral reflux.

Case Discussion

Features are most consistent with neurogenic bladder which is a term applied to a dysfunctional urinary bladder that results from an injury to the central or peripheral nerves that control and regulate urination.
