The bones appear generally low density.

Posterior lateral femoral condyle (non-weightbearing surface) osteochondral defect with a lucent rim. No intra-articular body. No other focal osseous lesion.

No knee joint effusion. Large Baker's cyst.

Case Discussion

This is a case of an osteochondral defect of the lateral femoral condyle with a detached non-displaced fragment, which corresponds to a stage III lesion (although this staging is typically done on MRI). The patient had a known history of secondary osteoporosis, corresponding with the features of low bone density.
