Info

Central radiolucent nidus with surrounding reactive cortical sclerosis is seen in the left femoral neck. Tiny calcification is seen in the center of the nidus. No bony destruction or soft tissue swelling is noted.
Case Discussion
An adolescent boy having leg pain in the night and resolved by NSAID is the typical presentation of osteoid osteoma. It is a benign bone-forming tumor. The central nidus, with surrounding reactive sclerosis and calcification within the nidus, is pathognomonic for osteoid osteoma.
