Well-defined multilobulated right ovarian mass, measuring 70 x 56 x 40 mm. It appears of low signal intensity on T1, very low signal intensity on T2 with moderate and heterogeneous enhancement. On the DWI it shows a low signal with a low ADC value "T2 blackout effect".
Case Discussion
MRI features most consistent with right ovarian fibroma.
Fibromas are benign ovarian tumors, and the most sex cord tumor, they account for approximately 4% of ovarian neoplasms, few percentages of patients with ovarian fibroma have ascites and pleural effusions (Meigs syndrome), which resolve after tumor resection.
