There is peripheral mucosal hypertrophy in right maxillary near the alveolar process and bilateral narrowing of osteomeatal complex in both sides. The curvature of the left middle turbinate bone is towards the lateral sinus wall in comparison to the right side. Also, aerated middle turbinate on right side is seen (concha bullosa).
Other findings are:
- Nasal septum deviation to the left side with septum bone spur.
- Hypertrophy of inferior nasal turbinate.
Paradoxical middle turbinate is a possible cause of chronic nasal obstruction, osteomeatal complex narrowing and chronic sinusitis.
