Left knee pain and swelling post-fall.

Patient Data

Age: 50 years
Gender: Female

Patellar tooth sign at the insertion of the quadriceps tendon is in keeping with patellar enthesopathy.

Small knee joint effusion. Normal alignment. No fracture.

Case Discussion

A case of patellar tooth sign arising at the insertion site of the quadriceps tendon, consistent with the development of a degenerative enthesophyte of the patella.
