Pelvic congestion syndrome

Case contributed by Dr Morlie L Wang

Vaginal bleeding. Patient was found to have 1st trimester miscarriage. Dilated veins were incidental finding.

There are multiple dilated and tortuous vessels measuring up to 11 mm around the uterus and ovaries with venous flow, probably representing pelvic congestion syndrome.
