In the dynamic angiography (TWIST) early retrograde filling of the left ovarian vein is seen directly after the intravenously administered contrast agent passes through the kidney and into the left renal vein. The last few images in the sequence demonstrate retrograde flow of the contrast agent into the parauterine veins, first left, then right. In contrast to these findings, antegrade flow in the right ovarian vein can be seen in the third to last image.
