Presentation
Right index finger nodule on the palmer aspect for about 4 -5 weeks. No history of trauma.
Patient Data
There is a lobulated, thin-walled anechoic lesion at the site of the clinically palpable nodule. It abuts thickened A2 pulley. It is located on the ulnar aspect of flexure tendon at midshaft of the proximal phalanx. Lesion shows incomplete thin septa without calcification or vascularity. There is posterior acoustic enhancement. Lesion measures about 11 x 8 x 4 mm. It shows extension towards the dorsal aspect of the finger. Flexure tendon is normal. There is no joint effusion. A1 pulley is located at metacarpophalangeal joint level. There is no peri A1 pulley lesion.
Case Discussion
Ultrasound findings favour peri A2 pulley ganglia.
