Info

Thickening of the popliteus tendon at its attachment site, along with thickening of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and posterior cruciate ligament (PCL), showing increased signal intensity on PDFS and decreased signal intensity on T1W.

Increased T2 signal material deposition is observed in the deep margin of the medial collateral ligament origin, quadriceps tendon, lateral head of the gastrocnemius tendon, and adjacent to the anterior horn of the medial menisci and lateral menisci.

A small amount of knee joint effusion is present.

Case Discussion

Characteristic findings of periarticular gout of the knee, with urate deposition and inflammation primarily affecting the popliteus tendon, ACL, and PCL.
