Case contributed by Dr Bruno Di Muzio

Presentation

Incidental finding on MRI Brain.

Patient Data

Age: 34
Gender: Male

MRI Brain

Modality: MRI

There is a bright T1 strip surrounding the superior margin of the body and splenium of the corpus callosum.

CT Brain (selected images)

Modality: CT

There is a fat attenuated strip surrounding the superior margin of the body and splenium of the corpus callosum.

Case Discussion

Curvilinear pericallosal lipomas are usually thin, elongated and curvilinear along the corpus callosal margin, as well illustrated by this case. A mildly hypoplastic corpus callosum can be associated with these lesions, but was not present in this case.
