The left capital femoral capital epiphysis is collapsed and sclerotic with low signal in all sequences and irregular contour as well as a metaphyseal cystic lesion.

Bilateral minimal hip joint effusion, more on the left side.

Relative loss of girth of left gluteal muscles without abnormal signal within.

Case Discussion

Findings are those of avascular necrosis of the left capital femoral epiphysis - Legg-Calvé-Perthes disease (stage II), with disuse atrophy of left gluteal muscles.
