There is a small lobulated mass (2 x 1.6 x 1.2 cm) of the left parotid gland of low signal on T1, high signal on T2 with a peripheral hypointense capsule and no restricted diffusion. The TIC (time signal intensity curve) shows a progressive and gradual enhancement within the tumor giving the appearance of a TIC type A according to Yabuuchi et al classification (blue curve).

Normal appearance of the right parotid gland.

No cervical lymphadenopathy.

Case Discussion

MR feaures are suggestive of pleomorphic adenomas of the left parotid gland.
