Presentation

Progressive swelling and tenderness of the left knee after arthroscopic meniscal surgery and cartilage shaving. Symptomatic treatment by the orthopedic surgeon for about 8 weeks.

Age: 45 years
Gender: Male

MRI showed advanced osteomyelitis of the distal femur with a central bone sequestrum and septic arthritis of the knee joint.
