Case Discussion
It is an osteochondrosis caused by chronic avulsion injury common between the ages of 10-12 years.
Patellar tendon repetitive traction can cause calcification or irregular ossification of the lower pole of the patella, causing pain. It is typically associated with activities like running, hiking, climbing stairs or kneeling.
