Info

MR arthrography images show a type III SLAP tear (Snyder class.) extending from the 10 to the 2 o'clock position, with a bucket handle type of tear of the superior labrum. The biceps tendon insertion is normal.
Case Discussion
Type III SLAP tears are a bucket-handle tear of the superior labrum without extension into the biceps tendon. The inferiorly displaced labral fragment may become entrapped in the glenohumeral joint. SLAP tears typically extend from the 10 to the 2 o'clock position.
