The MRI sequences demonstrate:

  • bilateral choroidal thickening with enhancement in keeping with diffuse choroidal hemangioma
  • prominent leptomeningeal enhancement at the right occipitoparietal region in keeping with a pial angiomatosis
  • mild enlargement with enhancement of the right (ipsilateral) choroid plexus and dilated adjacent transparenchymal veins
  • mild atrophy of the posterior right parietal lobe as compared to the left side

Case Discussion

The clinical presentation and MRI features are most consistent with Sturge-Weber syndrome.
