Bilateral non-enhancing multiple subependymal nodules are seen, which have the same MR signal characteristics as the grey matter.

Bilateral periventricular T2 hyperintensity is noted.

Case Discussion

This case demonstrates typical features of subependymal grey matter heterotopia, which is the presence of grey matter at subependymal location of lateral ventricles. It is a neuronal migration abnormality and commonly associated with epilepsy and developmental delay.

Differentials include subependymal tuber of tuberous sclerosis.
