Submandibular duct calculus with sialectasis

Presentation

45 year old man presented with recurrence of a right neck lump beneath the jaw.

Patient Data

Age: 45
Gender: Male
Modality: CT

The CT scan demonstrated a 6mm calculus in the distal right submandibular duct with associated sialectasis.

On the coronal images the dilated duct can be clearly traced to the calculus in the distal duct.
