From the case:
Thrombosis in a circumaortic left renal vein

Download
Info

Large volume thrombus in a circumaortic left renal vein (pre and posterior aortic components). Thrombus in the IVC.
Bilateral perinephric stranding. Tiny simple hepatic cyst.
Right basal atelectasis and a trace of pleural fluid.
Case Discussion
A pretty large left renal vein thrombosis made all the more interesting by the fact it has occurred in an anatomical variant with the left renal vein duplicated with pre and posterior aortic components, of a circumaortic left renal vein.
Thrombus also 'hangs' in the adjoining IVC.
