Presentation

Midline neck swelling which moves with deglutition.

Age: 40
Gender: Female

A cystic lesion is identified, well defined wall of dense contents inside, measuring 2.4 cm in its longest axis, located in the midline submental region behind pretiroid muscles , in his lower aspect presents a thin line of tissue that acts as thyroid tissue and which communicates with the isthmus of the thyroid.

Case Discussion

Finding consistent with thyroglossal duct cyst  with tissue extension to the isthmus thyroid.
