The abnormal fat fluid level within the suprapatellar recess indicates lipohemarthrosis.

Depression of the lateral tibial plateau associated with small cleavage fracture at the most lateral part of the lateral tibial plateau just lateral to the depression indicates Schatzker type II.

Case Discussion

Abnormal depression of the lateral tibial plateau suggests Schatzker type III, however, the small cleavage of the most lateral part of the tibial plateau changed the staging to type II.
