Urachal carcinoma

Presentation

Heavy smoker. Hematuria. Previous ultrasound showed a endoluminal nodule in the region of the anterior wall of the bladder, suggestive of bladder cancer.

Patient Data

Age: 53
Gender: Male
CT

CT Pelvis

Mass located in anterior the wall of the bladder with intravesical extension,  predominantly on juxtavesical portion of the urachus. There is heterogeneous enhancement of the lesion.

Case Discussion

Carcinomas of the urachus are extremely rare neoplasms.

The patient underwent surgery that confirmed the diagnosis of urachal adenocarcinoma
