Displaced Copper-T

Discussion:

Case of displaced Copper- T

  • Copper T is an intrauterine contraceptive device (IUCD)
  • ideally positioned at the fundus of the uterus, with the arms fully expanded and extending toward the uterine cornea and vertical portion of the “T” should extend down the uterine cavity.
  • in this case the device has probably perforated the uterine serosa and then come to lie in the abdominal cavity.
