Eosinophilic gastroenteritis

Discussion:

The patient underwent upper GI endoscopy before CT exam showed hyperemic edematous gastric rugae with marked pyloric thickening and edema involving 10 cm of the duodenum. The treating physician informed me of the histopathological result which is eosinophilic gastroenteritis (hypertrophic eosinophilic syndrome).
