Invasive breast canrcinoma

Discussion:

This lesion was reported as BI-RADS V: highly suggestive of malignancy.

A biopsy was done and the pathology report came back as follows:

Gross:

Specimen fixed labeled with patient's name consists of multiple yellowish fatty tissue needle core biopsies, the largest 1.7x0.2 cm. Submitted all in one cassette.

Microscopic:

Multiple breast core biopsies, infiltrated by invasive ductal carcinoma, of low to intermediate nuclear grade.

No DCIS component seen.

Diagnosis: right breast lump, trucut biopsy:

Consistent with invasive breast carcinoma of no special type.
