The popliteal artery is expanded and is of high T2 signal. The lumen is compressed by cystic regions. The features are consistent with adventitial cystic disease of the popliteal artery.
Case Discussion
Cystic adventitial disease is an uncommon vascular disease affecting peripheral arteries of middle-aged individuals with very high male predilection. It most commonly affects the popliteal artery.
